Thanks for the hugely-long plug – for the first 10 minutes I thought I was listening to “The Bob & AJ & Steve Show”! I have 3 things:

1: as AJ guessed, I am Scottish, but live with my trousers rolled up to my knees, ankle deep in water in Kent, England.

2: I don’t actually agree that an F1 driver is a better/bigger/something other athlete than a tennis player as I think that F1 drivers (and to a lesser extent, other motor racing drivers) are more like fighter pilots than “regular” sportsmen & sportswomen, so it’s comparing apples with fish.

3: Don’t tell me that you guys are semi-naked while recording the show – I cam dangerously close to developing a mental image.

Again, big thanks for the mega-plug and keep throwing out the excellent shows (Steve Jobs doesn’t know what he’s missing).

Is this what, the 3rd show in a row you mention me? wow.

Btw, Rover kept making the old minis till 2000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini)

F1: Don’t the drivers have to go through a lot of physical training to prepare themselves for the strains and stress of racing? In that respect, they are athletes, I guess. And it’s been vaguely worthwhile to watch recently, thanks to the fact that Schumacher isn’t winning all the time…

iTunes: I’m happy as long as I can still add my own feeds to iTunes, I hated using any other third-party software, adding too many more steps to the process of getting them onto my iPod (yes, I’m a lazy ass). Something to bear in mind, I did find your podcast through iTunes, plus Odeo’s launch has mostly been shadowed by iTunes’ podcast ‘capabilities’. Being part of the iTunes podcast directory, as frustrating as it is, does give you guys much deserved added exposure. If you’re interested in Apple’s stumble in podcasting and their imposed methodologies, this article is an interesting read: http://daringfireball.net/2005/07/podcast_pocket

And “backslash”? Jeez AJ, forward, forward! πŸ˜‰

And 32ΒΊC? Owwie… and I was complaining about the heat here in the UK, at ten degrees less…

Another excellent show, looking forward to the next πŸ™‚

I think we need to stop talking about F1 now, eh guys? πŸ˜€
I think Bob is comparing apples to oranges. The term, Sports, is so broad now today. It covers so many different activities. Isn’t playing darts a sport now too?

Us listeners don’t need to hear about your nakedness, eh?! Too bad about the car, thought it was restored. Have fun restoring it. Oh dear, a LADA, Bob. Did that thing survive? Don’t see any around here anymore. Early 90’s I used to see that car. Breasts? Do you have any women listeners?

iTunes isn’t that bad for the listeners. Not sure about the problems that podcasters deal with. But don’t give up on it yet.

Did podcasting come around because there was no hockey? πŸ˜€ Maybe a big breasted young lady could replace Don Cherry one day. I can’t believe he’s 71 years old. Explains his dress attire. Did you guys see him and McLean on CBC Newsworld last week? Don looked like a pimp from the 70’s, no tie, open big collar shirt. πŸ˜€

  6. Linda Says:

Tiger is a much better athlete than Michael AJ.
Don’t ever say yhat again !!!

I’d hate to jump to any hasty conclusions, but my trusty iPod has had two nervours breakdowns recently – both times when I tried to force it to listen to the Bob & AJ show! It’s an no go thru iTunes – not surprisingly after what Bob had to say on the last Catfish Show – but loading it into iTunes via Podcast Tuner gave very unhappy results. Any clues to this misbehaviour Bob? Does that mean I can’t risk listening to you guys on my iPod any more?!

  8. Administrator Says:

Can’t say what your issue is S-Dude..

People who are adding the feed manually into iTunes have told me it works fine. You’re the first who mentioned it not working right.

And not being an iTunes/iPod user, I can’t duplicate your problem.. Sorry..

  9. jon from vancouver Says:

I use an iPod and have never had any issues with the show or any other, for that matter. Maybe it’s a lemon, every product has a lemon or two. Have you updated your firmware on the iPod to the latest version? Could be the trick. Good luck.

  10. Scarborough Dude Says:

Must just be strangely coincidental then, this having to restore to factory settings after downloading Bob & AJ. But hey – ya really think I’d give up your show just cuz of a stinkin little iPod malfunction! It’d take more than having to reload 2000 tunes, 900 contacts, half a dozen calendars, 100 or so photos, etc., to give up on you guys!

[…] When he’s older, my son Simon and I will do a project together. Finding and restoring a car like this would be so much fun (and Simon would have to explain to Cat why her car can’t live in the garage for a year). AJ & his dad are restoring a Triumph.. I wonder what our project will be.. […]
